About Us

Grandstand Group was established in 1994 and immediately secured its first client, Wembley Stadium Ltd. Following its subsequent appointments from the Football League and the Rugby Football League, in 1997 it successfully secured extensive rights to the management contract of the Horse of the Year Show which now extend until 2036. During the past 10 years, the company has rebuilt the profile of this world-famous, iconic event.

This included the Show’s successful relocation to the NEC, Birmingham in 2002 where it is now achieving sell-out performances.

In 2001, Grandstand Group entered the corporate market under its brand of Zinc Management Ltd and was immediately appointed by a number of blue chip companies to manage a variety of their events. Zinc Management Ltd has since become the award winning B2B Corporate Event Management division of the Group, recently receiving industry accolades including winners of Best Promotional Campaign, Most Creative Use of a Destination and Best B2B Marketing Programme. Its management team boasts over 45 years of industry experience and delivers events for some of the most recognised global brands in the Financial, Automotive, Electronic, Communications, Government and Insurance sectors.

In 2003, the Group established its own equestrian event, the British Open Show Jumping Championships which has immediately become one of the top events in the global equestrian calendar. One of only three major indoor equestrian Shows in the UK, the British Open Show Jumping Championships boasts growing audience and trade figures year on year. In 2009, Grandstand celebrated the British Open’s 7th anniversary with record ticket sales.
